About PassBloom

PassBloom is a free, fast and privacy-friendly password tool. It generates strong random passwords and memorable passphrases, and estimates how strong a password is — everything right in your browser.

Secure by design

Randomness comes from your browser's cryptographic generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same kind used for real security, so the results are unpredictable. There is no server: nothing you generate or type is uploaded, stored or logged. You can read the details in our Privacy Policy.

Works offline

Because everything runs on your device, PassBloom keeps working even with no connection — handy when you want to create a password without trusting a website with it.

Anyone creating a new account, rotating an old password, or setting up a memorable passphrase for a password manager can use PassBloom. The strength meter also shows, in plain bits of entropy, why a long passphrase beats a short complex password — a simple way to learn safer habits.
